Pure and thrilling newcomers to Volkswagen’s electric ID. range
The ID.3 hatchback line-up is gaining two new trims: Pure Essential and Pure Match. They both have a new entry-level 52 kWh battery with 170 PS of power, a range of approximately 240 miles and can be charged at up to 145 kW DC. This means they can be topped up from 10 to 80 per cent in 25 minutes – just enough time for a cuppa and a sandwich on the go.
The Pure Match has more standard features than the Pure Essential, including 18-inch East Derry alloy wheels, metallic paint, a comfort package (heated front seats, navigation, two-zone Climatronic air conditioning), a rear-view camera, carpet mats and tinted windows. The ID.3 Pure Essential and Pure Match are priced at £30,850 and £32,210 respectively (on-the-road manufacturer’s direct prices including VAT).
The existing ID.4 Pure Match gains 19-inch Hamar alloy wheels, but its price is lowered by £3,090 to £39,550 (on-the-road manufacturer’s direct price including VAT).
The ID.5 line-up, meanwhile, is being bolstered by the Pure Match, which has the same entry-level 52 kWh battery as the new ID.3 trims described above. Maximum range for the ID.5 Pure Match is about 222 miles, and its attractive list of standard features includes 19-inch Hamar alloy wheels, metallic paint, comfort package, rear-view camera, carpet mats and tinted windows. It is available at £41,050 (on-the-road manufacturer’s direct price including VAT).
New sporty GTX Edition trims
New ID.4 and ID.5 GTX Edition trims are set to combine the thrilling performance of existing GTX models with additional features – and all at attractive prices.
Both cars promise pulse-quickening acceleration thanks to 340 PS of power; the 0-62 mph sprint will take just 5.4 seconds and their top speed (where permitted) will nudge 112 mph.
Specification in addition to existing GTX models includes metallic paint, Assistance Pack Plus (area view camera, electric tailgate, IQ. Drive Travel Assist, Park Assist Plus, memory feature for Park Assist and side assist) and the Interior Sport Pack Plus (power-adjustable ergoActive comfort seats with massage function, integrated front head restraints and ArtVelours microfleece inserts). These features would normally cost around £6,500 when ordered as options, but prices for the ID.4 GTX Edition and ID.5 GTX Edition represent notable value at £52,205 and £53,705 respectively (on-the-road manufacturer’s direct prices including VAT).
All these new trims can be ordered at Volkswagen Retailers from Thursday 21 November. So get in touch with our sales team on 01202 713000 for more information.
